Another miracle over, this time in the Jets game. Not as bad as my beat last night but good grief. I won my Dallas under today which was a big play but just barely. Houston got stuffed on the 2 with seconds left.

I hate and flat out can't stand betting OVERS in baseball or hockey.

I'm more of an UNDER guy in football.

I feel your pain....any game that is 3-0 at the half and manages to go over is definitely a bad beat : (

If you dont like something ....I advise you to stay away from betting them....there is nothing worse than losing something that you cant stand doing. This helps create an anger management candidate.

unders are the worst. You root for the clock to run out as soon as the game starts. If i bet an UNDER I wont watch it on TV.

If you think it'll be under, bet under big,

If you think it's about right, bet under small.

If you think it's going over, do nowt.

I'm the opposite, I hate betting overs in football and hockey. I'm just one of those guys who always thinks no one is going to score.

I hate sweating out all basketball totals, especially NBA, wether or not I have over or under! Either way I always think I'm going to lose halfway through.

I've made it a rule for myself not to bet unders if I'm going to watch the game on TV - I hate rooting against both teams.

This sounds very simplistic; however, I think it is also very true. I know I've gotten stubborn and it cost $$$$$$$$$.

I'm an UNDER guy when it comes to betting football, don't think they are smarter bets or that "sharps" bet them more I just like to root for defense and punters, LOL. When I have OVER it is frustrating as hell to watch incompetent offenses out there not being able to move the football, drives me crazy. Love to play 1st half UNDER 21- or whatever and settle in for a defensive battle. You win the first half and also are sitting pretty for the game to stay under as well.

Don't get me wrong, I will bet either way if I think it's the right side, I just prefer to be pulling for an UNDER rather than an OVER if I am watching the game. Maybe it's from living in Tampa all these years.

Overs used to be a square man's bet. Every public Joe wants to take the over because you are never really out of it right? With under bets, you can be out of it halfway through the game. Fun is done.

But nowadays, with every league encouraging more scoring, unders are a terrible bet.

It can be a low scoring game, everything is looking good and then the splurge or points come. The there's always Overtime.

In MLB, with the new rules, it's much more conceivable that a 2-2 game or something goes to extra innings, and with a guy starting off on 2nd base, each time scratches out a run each, now it's 3-3 going to the 11th inning where you have a chance for more. Next thing you know it's over 8 or 9 runs.

In NHL they keep creating new rules, even this year with the cross checking, to increase scoring. They are coming in bunches.

NBA? It's become a joke. No defense, just run and gun and chuck 3s and non contested lay ups.

NFL same thing. On any given Sunday, any average QB can put up 30 points because flags are flying and the league made it easy to score but much tougher on the defense.

Overs are a great bet. Why stress picking unders. Either bet the over or stay away. Simple.

Having said that, this thread is old and back in that time, unders were a good bet in the NFL. I used to pick 2 games and tease them and win almost every week. Now I do the opposite with overs.

You can blindly pick any 2 games on the slate, tease the over and you have a fantastic chance to win every week. I don't care what anybody says.
